Cybersecurity, Cybercrime, Bank performance, Financial Institution, TechnologyAbstract
Technology is widely used in the banking sector for e-payments, online transfers, and digital banking, which are becoming more widely adopted by customers. This allows cybercriminals to target financial institutions for illegal financial gain through tricks such as fraud and phishing. As a result, financial institutions have implemented cybersecurity standards. This study aims to identify the connection between cybersecurity and bank performance by analyzing publishing trends, identifying influential contributors, and determining primary keywords, while also highlighting gaps in the growth of this field. This bibliometric study consists of 74 papers on cybersecurity and bank performance published between 2017 and 2025. This research utilizes the Scopus database, VOSviewer, and Harzing’s Publish or Perish program.
